Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessment (NHS)

Haringey Children and Young People Mental Health Service (CYPS) is an NHS-run service consisting of 5 teams which work closely together. 

The Haringey CYPS provide attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments for children and young people. Children between 0-18 years can be referred for ADHD. However, we do not assess children for ADHD until they are 6-year-old.

Parents and caregivers can apply for various types of specialised equipment, such as electric wheelchairs, mobility aids, iPads, and more.

Independent Parental Special Education Advice (ISPEA) Charity

Independent Parental Special Education Advice (ISPEA) is the leading national charity in the field of SEND law in England.

They provide:

  • Free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. 
  • Training on the SEND legal framework.
  • Help children and young people with SEND get the education they are entitled to by law.
