Disability Action Haringey

Disability Action Haringey (DAH) was formed in 2020 with the aim of supporting disabled people in the London Borough of Haringey maintain their independence and freedom. We are committed to the social model of disability and building a society that accepts and accommodates everyone.

As a Deaf and Disabled Persons’ Organisation, our services will always be centred on the demands of the service users themselves, which leads us to take a holistic approach to support.

Easy Health is an online library of accessible health information. It uses simple words, clear pictures, and films to provide information on health conditions, easy-to-read resources, and more.

Haringey Children's Occupational Therapy Service (NHS)

The Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Haringey is an NHS-run service that helps children develop independence and participate as much as possible in daily activities like school, play, and self-care, such as dressing, using the toilet, and eating.

The service offers assessments, advice, and interventions for children aged 0-19 with neuro-developmental difficulties or complex special needs. They provide care at the Tynemouth Road Health Centre, in homes and schools, and through online sessions and phone consultations.

Learner Support

If you’re aged 19 or over, on a further education course and facing financial hardship, you could get Learner Support. Learner Support can help pay for things you need to attend your course or study that are not covered by your course fees.
