Resilience develops when we experience challenges and survive them. The support of adults is vital to support children and young people, helping them to know that life can sometimes be difficult, scary, uncomfortable, or unfair but that they can cope with the situation and survive it.

For children and young people
These 1-page tools (external link) from the social enterprise deep:black have been developed to encourage resilience in pupils.
The resources can be completed individually, in pairs or groups, and are a creative way to connect with themselves and others.
They can be used by all ages to develop awareness and positive self-reflection, which can help build resilience.
