Cycle route consultations

We want Haringey to be a borough where walking and cycling is a default choice of travel. We're improving street environments, supporting accessible and inclusive streets, making it easier for everyone to get around on foot and bicycle, and promoting the benefits of active travel.

We will deliver improvements in cycle infrastructure to:

• create a cycling culture
• improve the health and wellbeing of residents
• increase physical activity through more walking and cycling
• provide healthy and safer routes to schools and other destinations
• benefit local businesses
• create new public space
• deliver improved air quality

What we consulted on

The consultation ran from 26 August to 27 September 2024.

We are seeking your views on proposals to install a protected cycle route along Tottenham Lane (A103) from High Street, Hornsey to the junction with Church Lane.

Our approved Walking and Cycling Action Plan sets out our ambition to provide a number of key strategic cycle routes through Haringey, providing safe cycling in both the east-west and north-south directions. This will help connect to local amenities and neighbouring boroughs, allowing cyclists to travel longer distances.

The east-west route links Tottenham to Crouch End and this engagement is to seek your feedback on a short section of this key corridor along Tottenham Lane between High Street, Hornsey to the junction with Church Lane.
