We are reimagining our streets to create a safer, greener, and more sustainable borough for everyone.
Help us shape Haringey’s future by sharing your views to inform our kerbside and electric vehicle (EV) strategies.
Your views will help us:
- prioritise and improve our parking and kerbside spaces
- create well-designed streets and public areas that work for everyone
As part of our ambitious plans for a safer, greener and more sustainable Haringey, we are looking to reimagine our kerbside for the benefit of communities and businesses.
The vast majority of journeys in Haringey are made by walking, cycling and public transport. We want to see streets and spaces that balance different needs fairly – and support and encourage more sustainable travel and more community activity and interaction.

Kerbside/electric vehicle strategies survey
If you would like a printed copy of the consultation, or an accessible alternative, such as Braille, large print or EasyRead, please email transport.planning@ haringey.gov.uk
The kerbside
The kerbside is the space that sits on the road next to the pavement. You might currently find cars, trees, cycle parking, or taxi bays here. Well-designed streets and spaces should benefit everyone, not just a few.
We are considering proposals for other kerbside uses such as:
- more trees/planting
- car clubs
- seating
- outdoor eating areas and deliveries
Parklets
Parklets are small public spaces created by converting parking spots into mini-parks on the street. They often have seating and plants, making streets more enjoyable for everyone.
Electric vehicle strategy
We need a progressive strategy for electric vehicles to make sure we have enough charging points and improve our current offer.
We want to understand the barriers to electric vehicle use in Haringey and explore the opportunities available.
Your responses will help us understand your current and future needs so we can plan the services to support our residents.
In-person events
