Join the home care and reablement focus group

Home care is a service where a paid carer comes to your home to help you with things like dressing or bathing.

Reablement is where, following a period of illness (usually a hospital admission), you receive support for up to 6 weeks to help you regain your independence and stay well at home.

What you will do

As a member of the focus group, you’ll be asked to share your experiences and ideas to help us improve how home care and reablement are delivered in Haringey.

Your views will influence things like:

• the requirements document that tells providers what we want to buy
• the method statements (questions) we ask providers in a tender application
• the key performance indicators (standards) we will use to evaluate providers who win the contract

What’s involved

You must be available to attend meetings for an average of 2 to 8 hours per month, which will take place predominantly during working hours. Meetings will be mostly online, with some hybrid/in-person sessions. You must be able to attend in all meeting formats.

Who can join

This is a voluntary opportunity open to Haringey residents only:

• you must have personal experience of home care or reablement for adults – either using home care/reablement services yourself or caring for someone who does
• we have 8 places available on the focus group
• you must be available between December 2025 and September 2026
