'Families benefit from a culture of listening': Ofsted awards highest rating to our SEND service
We're pleased to announce the results of our recent joint area inspection by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which awarded us the highest possible outcome for SEND services!
Following a three-week inspection in late January and early February 2024, our service's commitment to transforming the SEND system over the past years has been recognised.
The inspection concluded that services 'typically lead to positive experiences and outcomes for children and young people with SEND' and acknowledged our commitment to co-production, including evidence of parents/carers and young people influencing positive changes to our system and holding leaders accountable.
While we celebrate these achievements, we also recognise areas for improvement. We will incorporate the recommendations from the inspection findings into our Local Area Inclusion Plan, which outlines a range of areas of focus and priorities to deliver over the next year. Once it's final, we will publish the Plan on our Local Offer website and SEND newsletter.
