Raising the participation age (RPA)

RPA: what does it mean?

By staying in learning past the age of 16, you will gain the skills, experience and qualifications to build a successful working life, and access a wider range of career options.

We offer support and guidance to all young people aged 16 to 19 on a range of post-16 opportunities in:

  • education
  • training
  • employment

We can support you until you are 25 years old if you have a disability or additional learning needs.

We can help with:

  • career advice
  • employment
  • apprenticeships
  • CV and interview preparation
  • applying to college and university
  • access to housing and benefits
