Current closure of the Kurdish Community Centre

Latest updates on the closure of the Kurdish Community Centre, who to contact and more.

We know there is on-going concern and anxiety following the police action that is taking place at the Kurdish Community Centre. The centre remains closed as the police continue their search of the property for any information relevant to their investigation.

The police have been clear that their investigation is not into the community centre itself but into the individuals who have been detained. We are all hoping to see the centre reopen as quickly as possible.

We understand the closure is having a major impact, not just on the Kurdish community, who are an integral part of our diverse borough, but the wider Haringey community.

We are providing practical support in the area to ensure the health and well-being of local residents and those members of the Kurdish community who are exercising their right to protest.
