Future elections

The following elections are scheduled to take place in the next 4 years:

• Thursday 7 May 2026 – Local Council Elections
• Thursday 4 May 2028 – Mayor of London and London Assembly elections

The next UK Parliamentary General election has not been announced yet, but it must take place by Wednesday 15 August 2029.

By-elections

A by-election can be announced at any time to fill a seat left vacant when an elected representative resigns, passes away, or becomes disqualified. We will publish details of any upcoming by-elections as soon as they’re confirmed.
