Last year on September 2024 the 1st Age Well Festival was launched with the ‘Purple Parade’ inspired by Women in Protest and Challenging Ageism, Haringey’s over 50’s Residents came together to peacefully parade with banners and placards.
We are now in preparation of our 2025 Purple Parade and would like you to join us to explore and discuss images from the recent festival and inspiration from images of historical women in protest such as Suffragettes, Dagenham Women’s Strike, Greenham Common, the recent Me to movement …. to create/design your own banners and placards, to be featured in the next Age well Festival Purple Parade.
No need to book, just turn up This will be part of the EmpowerHer Haringey Women’s Collective Event
