Course Details

What is this course about?

The course will focus on the five mandatory units:  Digital Skills Career Progression, Using Digital Technologies, Word Processing Software, Presentation Software and Spreadsheet software.

Are there any entry requirements?

You must be aged 19 and over by the 31st of August 2024. Learners can Progress from the Digital Skills level 1 or have current Digital or Ms Office Skills at Level 1.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

Yes. You will need to demonstrate Current Digital Skills at Level 1 via an Initial Assessment followed by an interview with a Digital Skills Tutor.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught through tutorials, demonstration by your teacher onsite at Wood Green Learning Centre.

What feedback will I get?

Your tutor will give you feedback on assignments and quizzes throughout the course.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

You will be asked to complete a short end of course survey and to share your views through your class rep and in Ofsted surveys.

What course can I do next?

You may progress onto courses in MS Office BCS Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ICDL Advanced) (ITQ) or use this course to help you study your subject area of choice.

You should attend all sessions of this course and complete all homework set. You should read all information provided prior to the session.

Who is this course for?

The course is for learners who wishes to progress to a work role where digital literacy and Ms Office skills are required.
