National Apprenticeship Week 2025

We are kicking off National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) on Monday 10 February 2025.

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a celebration of the positive impact that apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

This year, NAW runs from 10 to 16 February 2025.

During NAW, employers, apprentices and training providers come together to showcase the benefits of apprenticeships and the diverse range of opportunities available.

This includes events and other activities that aim to inspire people of all ages to consider an apprenticeship as a viable career path.

Apprenticeship stories

Muhammad Ali Choudhary, Associate Project Manager

Muhammad Ali Choudhary, Associate Project Manager Apprentice, said:

I have been an Apprentice at Haringey Council for 1 year and 8 months. By the end of my apprenticeship, I will have achieved a Level 4 APM Project Management Qualification.

I enjoy working on real projects that impact the local community and applying my learning practically. The role allows me to collaborate with experienced professionals and engage in diverse tasks, from managing timelines and budgets to working with different departments.

Throughout my apprenticeship, I've gained valuable skills in planning, stakeholder engagement and risk management. Haringey has been supportive, providing a dedicated mentor, continuous learning opportunities, and essential training.

Becoming an apprentice is a fantastic opportunity, especially if you're looking to gain hands-on experience while learning. It allows you to build skills that will be valuable throughout your career, and at Haringey, you’re supported every step of the way.

It’s important to be proactive and open to new learning experiences. Take full advantage of the training and mentoring available, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. An apprenticeship is a great way to start building a strong foundation for your future career.
