Haringey residents, community groups and school pupils and staff received recognition for all their hard work and dedication in making the borough greener, prettier and more biodiverse during the 2023 Haringey In Bloom Awards at George Meehan House on Wednesday.
Gold, silver and bronze accolades were presented by the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Lester Buxton, and ward Cllr Sheila Peacock to successful entrants in a broad range of categories, including: Best Front Garden, Best Back Garden, Best Balcony/Terrace, Best Vegetable Patch, Best Hanging Basket/Window Box, Best School and Nursery, Best Community Garden, Best Supported Housing Site and Best Business.
Entrants were also awarded Appreciation, Excellence and Merit certificates at the ceremony of this long-running, annual competition, which is now in its 25th year and once again was kindly sponsored by Sunshine Garden Centre in Bounds Green.
