Week of Action to focus on Stroud Green

The latest in our series of Weeks of Action is set to get underway on Monday in Stroud Green, where crime and antisocial behaviour are among the key issues to be addressed by Haringey Council.

The Week of Action will take place from 27 November to 3 December, and will focus on Stroud Green ward.

Activities will include joint patrols by the police and the council’s antisocial behaviour and waste enforcement teams.

There will also be youth engagement sessions from Haringey Community Gold, community engagement work from the council’s hate crime prevention team, and inspections by the council’s Parking Enforcement, Planning Enforcement, Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Private Sector Housing teams.

There will be a hub each weekday outside the parade of shops on Charter Court, (at the junction between Stroud Green Road and Tollington Park), giving opportunities for residents to discuss any issues or concerns they have with council staff. Following resident feedback from previous weeks of action, we will be organising hubs at different times throughout the week to give more residents the chance to engage. A full timetable for the hubs is below:

  • Monday 27 November, 11am-1pm
  • Tuesday 28 November, 1-3pm
  • Wednesday 29 November, 11am-1pm
  • Thursday 30 November, 1-3pm
  • Friday 1 December, 11am-1pm

Haringey Council coordinates one Week of Action per month, each one targeting a different area of the borough. Previous weeks of action have taken place in Bruce Grove, Wood Green, Crouch End, Tottenham Hale, Muswell Hill, Northumberland Park, Turnpike Lane, Hornsey and South Tottenham.
