The trio of trips provided opportunities for representatives of our Muslim communities to raise any local concerns or issues they may have with the borough’s Cabinet Member for Communities.

In turn, Cllr Ovat got to hear from them about their experiences while going about their everyday lives and asserted the importance of reporting any form of racial or religious targeting, whether verbally, physically or online.

If you experience – or witness – a hate crime, you should report it now or call 101 to report it to your local police. If in immediate danger, always call 999.
