Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Ajda Ovat, joined the Leader of Haringey Council, Cllr Peray Ahmet, at the Central Engagement Hub on Tuesday (23 September 2025).

As a ward Cllr for Noel Park, Cllr Ahmet engaged with residents throughout what proved to be a productive week to directly hear the concerns affecting residents in the local area, including during a ward walkout last Friday (26 September 2025).

Cllr Ovat said:

We’ve had council officers and partners, such as the police, here to listen to the feedback and concerns of Noel Park residents.

It’s very encouraging to see so many residents engaging with council staff at our Central Engagement Hubs throughout the Week of Action. That way, our officers and partners can listen to your concerns and action them as best as possible.

Council officers were stationed at the Central Hub and covered a number of different departments and services, including: Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Highways, Home Improvement, Homelessness Outreach, Litter and Waste, Parking, Parks and Regulatory Services.

Haringey Council coordinates these Weeks of Action to take place on a bi-monthly basis, with each one targeting a different area of the borough.

Previous Weeks of Action have been held in Alexandra Park, Bounds Green, Bruce Castle, Bruce Grove, Crouch End, Highgate, Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Northumberland Park, South Tottenham, St Ann’s, Stroud Green, Tottenham Hale, Turnpike Lane and Wood Green.

The next Weeks of Action will take place in the West Green (November 2025), Crouch End (January 2026) and Seven Sisters (March 2026) wards.
