Forensic CAMHS Service (2018 - 2020) | For young people | Forensic CAMHS is a free specialist forensic CAMHS service designed to provide consultation to professionals who are working with young people about whom there are concerns in terms of neurodevelopmental, mental health, or risk of harm to others and who may or may not be in contact with the youth justice system (YOTs, courts, custodial settings). |
HAGA (Haringey) | For adults or parents | If you are working with individuals affected by alcohol, either through their own or someone else’s drinking, and are in Haringey then we can help. You can refer individuals, we’ll assess them and give them the right kind of treatment, and then go on to support them in making lasting changes in their lives. |
Haringey Anchor Project | All ages | The Anchor Project teamed up with colleagues delivering the 0-5 Healthy Child Programme to lead the development and commissioning of tools to support families to increase the emotional health and wellbeing of their children. It employs a “train the trainer” approach to training professionals across public service sectors. |

Henry Programme | For babies and young children | HENRY provides a wide range of support for families in the early years including workshops, programmes, resources and online help. All of their support for families is underpinned by the HENRY approach to supporting behaviour change which helps parents gain the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to help the whole family adopt a healthier, happier lifestyle and to give their children a great start in life.

Open Door (Professionals) | For young people aged 12 up to age 24 | They recognise that adolescence and the transition to adulthood is a period of massive change and development - biological, social and psychological. For some it is a time of excitement, self-exploration and expectation. For others it can be difficult, disheartening or even overwhelming. Statistics show that rates of mental ill health double in the adolescent years. However, young people seeking help often find mainstream services inaccessible, stigmatising and not in-tune with their particular needs. Over the past 40 years, thousands of young people have turned to Open Door for confidential, professional therapeutic help at critical moments in their development. |
One You Haringey | Over 18 - except help to quit smoking available from 12 years old | Obtaining simple advice for a happier life. |
Open Door (Parents) | For young people aged 12 to 21 | This service is for anyone who is parenting teenagers or young adults aged 12-21. It is usually targeted at parents who are worried about a young person who does not want to access or accept help themselves, but they can be flexible depending on family needs and circumstances. They help with any worries parents may have including emotional problems, truancy, non-communication, substance misuse, illness (including mental illness), defiance and many more. |
Family Based Solutions (formerly known as PAARS) | From 6 to 18 years | Family Based Solutions works with the whole family to end the abuse and repair family relationships. They work with families using the solution focused approach which gives the family full control in the direction of the work and each family member has a part to play in moving the family towards their preferred future. |
Pace UK | No age range | Working alongside parents and carers of children who are or are at risk of being exploited. Support for parents is free. |
School Mental Health Toolkit | No age range | A school mental health toolkit for professionals |
School Nurses in Schools | From 4 years and up | School nurses are there is you have any concerns about a child’s development, for example their growth, weight, toileting, medications or their emotional development. |
Thrive LDN | No age range | Thrive LDN is leading a campaign to get 100,000 Londoners to take free online suicide prevention training. Thrive LDN have collaborated with the Zero Suicide Alliance, who have created a training program to help people to be able to identify warning signs and to feel comfortable having conversations about suicide. |

Own It app | For young people | An app developed by the BBC to support young people's mental health. Includes space for self-reflection, self-reporting symptoms/check in, support content based on five ways to wellbeing model and a specialised keyboard. The keyboard monitors your input and provides in-the-moment feedback (eg 'I hate you' -> red face appears on screen and questions 'Are you angry?' plus link to support: 'I want to die' and customised support based on trends found in a young person's messaging content. |
SHOUT - Crisis text line | Available to everyone to use | This number is a free text line that is 24 hour and can be used by anyone, anywhere. Focus on de-escalation and coming up with a plan. Manned by trained volunteers and clinical supervisors. Artificial intelligence screens imminent risk and pushes them to the top of the queue, whilst encouraging users to phone emergency services if at risk. 18-24 is their main demographic but 13 and under is the fastest growing group. Working with Mind, Anna Freud and Childline.

ThinkNinja | From 11 to 8 years old | Mental health support for 11 to 18 year olds, early intervention solution: 'A coach in your pocket'. Wise Ninja is a clinician in a ninja character using artificial intelligence. Young people get set 'skills missions' - eg to be more socially connected. Teaches skills in gaming format but then helps you embed them in daily life. Young people can be stepped up to get more clinical support, either text-based or low intensity CBT via the app. It is being rolled out in schools and some CAMHS services across the country. |
