Building Control fees 2025-26
The Building Control charges and Building Control miscellaneous fees will increase from 7 April 2025.

A withdrawal fee of £315 applies (no VAT) if you change your mind (after you have applied) and no longer want to use our services.
Full plans and building notice applications will expire after 3 years where no inspections have taken place.
Where work has started and an inspection has not been carried out within 2 years, you can apply for a 'reactivation' of the application. However, we may not agree to do this depending on the circumstances. A reactivation charge of £315 applies (no VAT).
With effect from 1 October 2023, our hourly rate to support the Building Safety Regulator in the performance of its relevant functions under the Building Safety Act 2022 will be £180 per hour.
With effect from 7 April 2025, our hourly rate to support the Building Safety Regulator in the performance of its relevant functions under the Building Safety Act 2022 will be £190 plus VAT per hour.
