Shaping Wood Green summit

Part of: Shaping Wood Green

Continuing the conversation on Wood Green

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Shaping Wood Green summit.

More than 100 proud and passionate residents, partners, stakeholders, officers and councillors joined Leader Cllr Peray Ahmet and Cabinet Member Cllr Ruth Gordon and Cllr Emily Arkell at the summit.

It was an evening of creative and collaborative discussions on how to take Wood Green to the next level. Participants enjoyed amazing performances from The Rec Shop, a charity and multi-purpose music space based inside The Mall, Wood Green.

A showcase of local events and activities were featured around the room.

Alongside this, attendees took part in 6 themed workshops to help co co-develop short, medium and long-term action plans on:

  • making Wood Green a welcoming place
  • culture at the heart of Wood Green
  • north London’s town centre for all
  • putting the green in Wood Green
  • living well
  • an economy to benefit everyone

We are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for all the community to participate and share their thoughts on the issues that matter to them. By asking the right questions, listening to and building on what we have heard through previous engagement exercises, in partnership we will make change happen.

The Shaping Wood Green action plan will be published in the New Year. Please keep checking back for updates.
