The Haringey Health Visiting Service is an NHS-run service for children under 5. The Health Visiting Teams provide advice and support for children and families' emotional and physical well-being.

The Haringey Speech and Language Therapy is an NHS-run service that works with children who experience difficulties around speech, language, attention, listening, interaction and alternative augmentative communication. They also work with those who have eating and drinking difficulties.
 
Some of the work they do includes: 

Children age 14 and over who have been assessed as having moderate, severe or profound learning disabilities, or people with a mild learning disability who have other complex health needs, are entitled to a free annual health check through the NHS.

Haringey borough has a wide range of health services for children and young people aged 0-25, including GPs, pharmacists, dental services, optometrists, and hospital services—available to everyone based on the individual’s health needs.

How to get support if you're a parent or carer:

Children with special educational needs and disabilities can access these services directly without needing a referral.

These services are known as ‘universal’ because they are available to everyone.

The Newborn Hearing Screening Service is an NHS-run service that provides all babies with a Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. We see those born across North Central London, which includes Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
 
Their teams are at the Whittington Hospital, Royal Free, UCLH, Barnet Hospital, and North Middlesex University Hospital.

The British Deaf Association (BDA) is the UK’s national Deaf-led membership organisation representing Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL) in the UK and Irish Sign Language (ISL) in Northern Ireland.

They exist to ensure a world in which the language, culture, community, diversity and heritage of Deaf people in the UK is respected and fully protected.

The National Deaf Children’s Society provides support for families, deaf children, young people and professionals.

The Haringey Sensory Support Team—Hearing is a team of Qualified Teachers of the Deaf and a Communication Specialist (British Sign Language) working across the boroughs of Haringey and Enfield. They support children with identified deafness, both in the home and in all educational settings (except schools for the Deaf or resourced bases for the Deaf).

They aim to improve the educational and life outcomes for deaf babies, children, and young people. Their work includes supporting and advising families and carers throughout their child’s educational journey. 

Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) is a Deaf-led charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for deaf people by ensuring that all Deaf people have equal access and equality of opportunity without discrimination.

They deliver services aimed at providing support through information and advice, signposting, workshops and events, and signature-accredited BSL Courses across Greater London.

The Children's Audiology (Hearing) Service is an NHS-run service that provides support, diagnosis, assessment, and treatment for children with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders from 0-18 years.

This service also provides a Newborn Hearing Screening Service to all babies born in Haringey, Camden, Islington, Barnet, and Enfield.
