Walpole Road N17 carriageway resurfacing
We are carrying out planned carriageway resurfacing on Warpole Road N17, from outside number 52 to Downhills Park Road. The works are scheduled to take place from Tuesday 3 March to Wednesday 4 March 2026.
The works will be carried out under a road closure.
Changes to low traffic neighbourhoods (LTN’s)
The following LTN changes will be in place during these works:
- the LTN restriction on Downhills Park Road will be temporarily suspended – this is near the signalised crossing point between Walpole Road and Higham Road
- Rusper Road is normally one‑way (at its junction with Downhills Way) – to maintain access during the works, it will be temporarily operated as a 2‑way system, with a traffic marshall on site to safely manage vehicle movements
There are no changes to bus services.
Crouch End Thames Water Pipe Replacement
Thames Water is upgrading more than 8km of ageing Victorian pipes in Crouch End in order to reduce leakage and burst pipes.
The works will take place from Monday 9 February for up to 9 months in 4 locations, with road closures and other traffic measures in place.
