Alert banners
You can add alerts for:
- the death of a notable person (black)
- an emergency (red)
- an announcement (green)
- a minor alert (yellow)
Alert banners can be added across:
- the entire site
- an entire section
- a specific list of pages
- a single page
They sit at the top of the page.
You can use an alert banner to highlight something temporarily. This can be urgent or non-urgent information.
On deciding whether to use an alert banner over a content page alert, decide how prominent you want the information to be, as an alert banner is more prominent and can be added to an entire section.
You can schedule them and set expiry dates. You can display more than one alert at the same time. Access them via the content dashboard.
Common task buttons
You can add blue call to action buttons, called common tasks, at the top of service landing and service sub-landing pages. Add a maximum of 4. Use them to highlight key actions, usually based on a popular user task.
Use active language:
- Give notice
- Register a birth
- Pay your Council Tax
