Registrars services over Christmas

Before getting married or forming a civil partnership, you must both give notice of intention at a register office, usually in the district or borough where you live.
Passport-sized photographs: if you or your partner are subject to immigration you must both bring a recent, passport-sized photograph with you.
To give notice at Haringey Register Office, you must have lived in Haringey for at least the previous 9 days.
Notice must be given a minimum 29 and sometimes 71 days before your planned legal ceremony date. Notice can only be given in the area where you live. If one or both of you are subject to immigration you must both give notice at the same time to one of your councils.

You cannot give notice more than 12 months in advance.

Both you and your partner will be interviewed separately. Please arrange your own interpreter if you need one, as you will be unable to interpret for your partner.
You will have to bring along original documents to your appointment:
If you cannot provide one of the above documents to the required standard do not make an appointment until you have the required evidence. The legal period for residency for giving notice is seven clear days (nine days when adding in day of arrival and day of notice.
If you will only be in Haringey on a short stay, get a signed letter from the owner or proprietor of the premises where you will be staying confirming your stay. You will need to provide original evidence for them from the above list before their letter will be accepted. The letter must be dated immediately before the appointment
Original divorce or annulment document with a full third party translation if the document is not written in English.
If your former husband, wife or civil partner has died, you will need to provide their original death certificate with third party translation if not written in English. If you are not clearly shown on the document as a surviving civil partner, widow or widower, please also bring your original marriage or civil partnership certificate with third party translation if not written in English.
One recent passport sized photo each if either of you are subject to immigration and you do not have indefinite leave to remain or EU settled or pre settled status.
