Council procurement: legal framework

When procuring, we must work within a strict framework of legislation and processes.

This includes:

• Public Contract Regulations 2015 and associated case law
• national legislation – such as the UK Local Government Acts 1999 and 2000
• council Contract Standing Orders (CSOs), which are part of our constitution
