Charity/voluntary and local services
- National Autistic Society (NAS) (external link) is UK’s leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. They provide support, advice, guidance and various services.
- #ActuallyHaringey – Autism Hub is a specialist autism-specific service designed to deliver early help provision that addresses the needs of autistic adults and those approaching adulthood, and their support networks.
- Kith and Kids (external link) support families who have a son or daughter with autism or a learning disability (many also have a physical or sensory disability) to overcome their social isolation.
- Haringey Shed (external link) is an inclusive theatre and performing arts company for children and young people. They provide a range of term-time after-school activities and holiday programmes as well as outreach work in the community, working in local schools, nurseries, and community centres.
- Markfield (external link) is an inclusive community hub in Haringey where people can play, socialise, and get information and support. Learn more about their service and resources below:

- Chickenshed (Enfield) (external link) is a pioneering and inclusive company that makes beautiful and inspirational theatre. They bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to produce outstanding theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges and informs both audiences and participants alike
- EasyHealth (external link) has an online library of accessible health information on a range of difficulties including autism.
- Open Door (external link) specialises in the mental health and emotional well-being of adolescents and young adults aged 12-24. They provide easy access to a range of free evidence-based therapies delivered by an experienced team of therapists. Learn more about their service and resources below:
Support in education and health
- Haringey schools and colleges can request additional support and/or training from the Haringey Language and Autism Support Team, contact last@haringey.gov.uk for more information
- In addition to this, schools can make referrals to and request support from Haringey Speech and Language Therapies, Haringey Educational Psychology Service and Haringey Occupational Therapy Services. Please, ask your school or educational setting about this.
