Safety Valve Programme

The Department for Education (DfE) has invited the council to join the national Safety Valve Intervention programme.  The Safety Valve Programme is designed to support Local Areas to create a balanced High Needs Block budget.

Haringey Council will receive £29.9 million in funding to implement 18 projects that align with the priorities set out in the Haringey SEND Strategy. These projects have been selected based on input of parents/carers, young people, health, social care and commissioning partners, and will contribute to shaping the future of the service.

This programme runs for five years until 2028.
