Dozens of new homes to benefit residents

Haringey residents are set to benefit from dozens of brand-new energy efficient homes as part the council’s ambitious housebuilding programme.
Lansdowne Road new homes scheme

Last night (18 March 2025), Cabinet agreed plans to build 37 high-quality and genuinely affordable council-rent homes across four sites at Arundel Court, Baldewyne Court, Fiske Court and Ashdowne Court on Lansdowne Road, N17.

The development provides much needed family-size accommodation, including 27 two-bedroom homes – three of which will be fully adaptable for residents with disabilities - alongside three three-bedroom homes.

It will contribute to the council’s target to deliver 3,000 new council homes by 2031, more than 2,000 of which are already underway or completed.

Cllr Sarah Williams, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning, said:

This is another important milestone as we look to provide much-needed council homes for our residents in the face of the on-going housing crisis.

At the same time, we want to see great design standards for our council homes as well as real attention paid to the facilities and landscaping around new buildings.

This new scheme will also provide much-needed family-sized accommodation for residents along with energy efficiency features to help keep bills down.

In addition to a raft of high-performance energy saving measures, tenants will benefit from new play facilities and additional trees, planting and seating areas.

Additional cycle storage and enhanced refuse and recycling facilities will also be provided.
