Organised in partnership between Haringey and Islington Councils and grassroots group Streets Kitchen, the annual event is dedicated to offering practical help and resources to those in need.
Situated in the heart of the park, the festival-style gathering brought together a wide range of services in one accessible location.
Attendees were able to access housing advice, drug and alcohol support, education and training opportunities, health checks, vaccination information, employment services, and tailored support for women—all delivered in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Beyond direct assistance, Streets Fest also served as a platform for collaboration, connecting volunteers, caseworkers, and service providers. This will strengthen networks and improve outcomes for vulnerable residents in both boroughs.
Cllr Lucia das Neves, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care & Wellbeing, said:
Those experiencing homelessness often face complex health challenges, and initiatives like Streets Fest play a vital role in helping us tackle these issues together.
Ensuring access to healthcare for everyone is essential, and hosting events in open, public spaces allows us to engage with more people in a way that feels inclusive and approachable.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring this important event to life.
Cllr Sarah Williams, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning, said:
It was inspiring to see so many people from different backgrounds come together to support our community.
Housing is a fundamental right, and here in Haringey we are working hard to make sure everyone in our borough lives in a home that is comfortable, safe, and secure.
Events like Streets Fest highlight our ongoing commitment to collaborating with partner organisations and those with lived experience of homelessness. These partnerships are key to driving forward the goal to end rough sleeping in Haringey.
