Sara Sutton, Corporate Director of Adults, Housing and Health, said:
Since joining Haringey in January 2023, Jahed has overseen the integration of the ALMO back into the council, driven major improvements to our landlord services, steered the housing directorate through challenging periods and provided leadership with clarity, purpose and a resident-centred approach.
He has built a strong team that will continue to serve residents and colleagues well, and the support he has given me personally on all aspects of housing has been invaluable too.
Cllr Sarah Williams, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning, said:
We’re very proud of all Jahed has achieved in Haringey. He made his Directorial debut with us and has grown with us as he has transformed our housing service.
We are delighted to have been on the journey with him – and very excited for the great things that lie ahead.
Reflecting on his move, Jahed said:
Leaving Haringey was never a decision I would take lightly. However, the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s housing journey — a community whose strength continues to inspire both change and remembrance in the housing sector — is a responsibility I could not turn down. It would always have taken an exceptional role that matters deeply to me to even consider leaving Haringey.
I will remain deeply grateful for the experiences and relationships I’ve built here.
It has been a privilege to work alongside colleagues in housing who have worked with impact, a shared purpose and ambition.
