There are poppy craft sessions at Hornsey Library (3:30pm-4:30pm) Marcus Garvey Library (3:30pm-4:30pm) and Muswell Hill Library (3:45pm-4:45pm) on Remembrance Day itself.
This activity is suitable for young children aged three and above and, once completed, you can pin your poppy on the Remembrance Day boards at either Hornsey Library or Marcus Garvey Library.
You and your little ones can also make a field of poppies at Stroud Green and Harringay Library the following Monday (17 November 2025, 3:30pm-4:30pm, Suitable for ages 5+) too.

- Monday 10 November 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Day of the Dead/’Dia de Muertos’/Sugar Skull Mask at Stroud Green and Harringay Library (Suitable for ages 5+)
- Tuesday 18 November 2025 (3:45pm-4:45pm): Boat Picture at Muswell Hill Library (Suitable for ages 3+)
- Monday 24 November 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Movember Moustache Photo Prop Papercraft at Hornsey Library (Suitable for ages 5+)
- Monday 24 November 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): 3D Self-Portrait at Stroud Green and Harringay Library (Suitable for ages 5+)
- Tuesday 25 November 2025 (3:45pm-4:45pm): Bird in a Tree Picture at Muswell Hill Library (Suitable for ages 3+)
Artist Kevin F Sutherland of Beano and Marvel fame is holding two Comic Art Masterclasses at Wood Green Library on Saturday 22 November 2025 (10:30am-12:30pm & 2pm-4pm), when you can take away a comic and a caricature in just two brilliant hours! (Suitable for ages 7+).
Chess enthusiasts can also play the great game at Hornsey Library (Thursdays, 3:30pm-6pm, Beginners and experts welcome and bring your own board), Marcus Garvey Library (Tuesdays, 3:30pm-5pm, Chess boards available on request, Under 16s need to be accompanied by a supervising adult) and St Ann’s Library (Mondays, 4pm-5pm, Term Time Only, Maximum of 12 children per session on a first come, first served basis, Suitable for ages 7-16).
