Haringey’s market position statement principles and values

1. Person-centred care

We will support people to maintain their independence for as long as possible, by offering assistance and resources to help them.

We will work closely with service users, carers, community organisations, health professionals, and other partners. We can share resources, and address complex needs more effectively. People should transition as seamlessly as possible between services.

We should ensure fair and equal access to services for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or circumstances. We will address inequalities and barriers to participation. Diversity will be celebrated, and all voices should be heard.

6. Transparency and accountability

We will communicate openly with our residents. We should be accountable for our actions. We will continually seek feedback to improve our services and practices.

7. Continuous improvement

We seek to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our social care services. Regular evaluation, reflection, and innovation will help us adapt to changing needs and incorporate best practices. 

8. Sustainability, efficiency, and diversity

We will make best use of our resources for value for money, and environmental sustainability. We will manage our supply chain to cultivate a diverse, dynamic, and sustainable market that offers a range of high-quality services and choices.

We support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary sector organisations. Long-term funding, strategic resource allocation, and comprehensive planning will effectively address both current and future needs.
