Haringey is a vibrant and diverse borough in North London, characterised by its rich cultural diversity and contrast between areas of significant wealth and areas of deprivation. Our population is aging, with an increasing demand for adult social services that are both preventive and responsive.
The demographics between east and west Haringey have notable variations. In east Haringey, there is a higher population density, and a younger demographic, including families and young professionals. West Haringey has more established residential neighbourhoods characterised by larger, owner-occupied properties and more green spaces. It tends to have a slightly older demographic profile, with a higher proportion of long-term residents and homeowners.
