Walking Tour: Jewish History of Tottenham (Walk 2)

Tottenham Heritage Walks with Bruce Castle Museum and Archive bring you a free and fascinating Jewish History Walking tour around Tottenham.

Starting at the Holocaust Memorial Garden of Remembrance near the Museum in Bruce Castle Park, your guide Carol Hebbs (Tottenham Heritage Walks) will reflect on some of the testimonies remembered here of Holocaust survivors who settled in Haringey.

Starting outside Costa Coffee at the corner of Tottenham High Road and West Green Road in South Tottenham, your guide Carol Hebbs (Tottenham Heritage Walks) leads you on a tour along Tottenham High Road sharing stories and community histories about Jewish-owned shops and businesses once found there.

Holocaust Memorial Day event 2025: A Better Future

Every year in Haringey we hold a commemorative service to remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of people murdered under Nazi persecution of other groups and during more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Join us to mark 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz and the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Bosnia. There will be a keynote speaker, speeches from local politicians and performances from young musicians.

Talk: Holocaust talk with Generation 2 Generation

Generation 2 Generation Holocaust Educator Louise Heilbron will be giving local school students a valuable talk.

The title is ‘Why couldn’t they… ‘ A workshop based on the anti-Jewish laws of the Nazis in the 1930’s and how they affected ordinary people of all ages who just happened to be Jewish.

This is a private event for invited school groups.
