What is Supervised Family Time?
Supervised Family Time is when a child or young person spends time with someone close to them who they do not live with (usually a parent or other family member). Supervised family time means that a worker will remain present at all times, and it is usually overseen by a professional or in some cases a family member. Contact may be supervised to make sure that the time spent between a child and their loved one is in their best interest.
Referrals for supervised contact can come from a range of referrers, including courts, CAFCASS officers, parents and family members.
