Ofsted inspection reports
2024 Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inspection Report
The results of the 2024 joint area inspection by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) awarded us the highest possible outcome for SEND services! Following a three-week inspection in late January and early February 2024, our service's commitment to transforming the SEND system over the past years has been recognised.
While we celebrate these achievements, we also recognise areas for improvement and have incorporated the recommendations from the inspection findings into our SEND and Inclusion Improvement Plan 2024-2025, below.
Our plan is underpinned by our SEND Strategy, which is aligned with our five priorities and outlines a range of areas of focus and key actions to deliver over the next year.
Local Area SEND and Alternative Provision Self Evaluation Summary 2025
As a SEND partnership, we have undertaken a self-assessment to evaluate our current position as a SEND system, the progress made to date, the impact this is having on outcomes for children and young people, and the areas of development we need to focus on in the coming months.
This self-assessment is updated annually and informs our SEND Improvement Plan. The SEND Executive Board owns this plan and is responsible for its successful delivery and positive impact.
