Children and Young People Mental Health Service (NHS)

The Haringey Children and Young People Mental Health Service (CYPS) is an NHS-run service previously known as Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

The Haringey Children and Young People Mental Health Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of children and young people from ages 0-17 with mental ill-health or severe emotional and behavioural difficulties. It is an NHS service consisting of five teams that work closely together:

Deafblind UK Charity

Deafblind UK is a national charity that supports people with sight and hearing loss in living the lives they want. They provide practical help, emotional support, help with technology, information, advice, and even holidays to anyone who needs it, including resources and support for professionals.

Haringey Speech and Language Therapy (NHS)

The Haringey Speech and Language Therapy is an NHS-run service that works with children who experience difficulties around speech, language, attention, listening, interaction and alternative augmentative communication. They also work with those who have eating and drinking difficulties.

Haringey Sensory Support Team - Hearing

The Haringey Sensory Support Team—Hearing is a team of Qualified Teachers of the Deaf and a Communication Specialist (British Sign Language) working across the boroughs of Haringey and Enfield. They support children with identified deafness, both in the home and in all educational settings (except schools for the Deaf or resourced bases for the Deaf).

They aim to improve the educational and life outcomes for deaf babies, children, and young people. Their work includes supporting and advising families and carers throughout their child’s educational journey. 

Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) Charity

Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) is a Deaf-led charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for deaf people by ensuring that all Deaf people have equal access and equality of opportunity without discrimination.

They deliver services aimed at providing support through information and advice, signposting, workshops and events, and signature-accredited BSL Courses across Greater London.

HENRY Charity

HENRY provides a wide range of support for families from pregnancy to age 12, including workshops, programs, resources, and online help. Their support is based on the HENRY approach to behaviour change. It helps parents gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to create a healthier, happier lifestyle for the whole family and give children a great start in life.

Hope in Haringey charity

Hope in Haringey—rooted in Tottenham is a charity that aims to enhance the life chances of Haringey’s young people between the ages of 4 and 24.

They deliver this aim through four core programmes, early intervention short-term counselling, employability mentoring, diversionary sports and arts programmes and bringing young people and the police together through structured engagement events.
