Hornsey North East CPZ Extension
Overview
The statutory consultation begins on Wednesday 10 December 2025 and ends on Friday 9 January 2026.
We have decided to approve progressing the extension of the existing Hornsey North East CPZ to North View Road, South View Road and Hawthorn Road. This means we can now move to the formal stage, which is statutory consultation.
Although a small majority of the respondents from North View Road expressed opposition to the extension, excluding North View Road would create significant additional parking pressure for the residents of he road, who would also not be able to park in the surrounding streets during the CPZ operational hours. North View Road would be the only non-controlled parking available in this area and would attract visitors orthose who wish to avoid paying for parking. We have therefore made the decision to include North View Road in the statutory consultation for the CPZ extension.
Full details of the outcome of the public engagement is available on our closed parking consultations page.
