Muswell Hill Sustainability Group is a local group to promote sustainable living. They have a series of useful YouTube videos on retrofit. They also often run “Open Houses” with homeowners who have undertaken home retrofit projects. And they use this to share experiences and knowledge.

Thermal imaging camera

A thermal imaging camera helps to show heat loss through the building fabric of your home. This allows you to prioritise works to help areas with most heat loss.

There are companies renting out thermal imaging cameras. If you are an Octopus Energy customer, you can borrow a camera for free, see more information here.

Locally, two thermal imaging cameras are in use by community groups.
